An Annular Solar Eclipse will begin on Sunday May 20, 2012 in the early evening at Zero Degrees Gemini. This type of eclipse has a narrow ring of the Sun visible beyond the dark mask of the Moon. This Eclipse will be visible on the Chinese coast, South Japan (especially Tokyo) and northwestern America and Canada. The Sun will not be darkened as much as shorter-lasting eclipses.

This is a Saros Series 14 South Eclipse. The theme is success after a lot of hard work. A new idea that seems too progressive may at last be accepted. On one of the trigger days below we could hear of an important breakthrough!

This is a South Node Eclipse with a “We” orientation. Many kinds of partnerships and twosomes will be affected. If you are born around the 21st or 22nd of any month or you have a point in your chart at zero degrees of Gemini, and you have a tense partnership situation, the ball is in the other person’s court – you are the “receiver” not the “server.” Other people may place more demands on you and you have to protect your own needs.

In the United States, the Republican Party will experience this eclipse on its North Node at zero degrees of Gemini. This means the Democratic Party is not so affected by this eclipse and may come across more heavily than the Republican Party in the 2012 Presidential Election. This eclipse will fall on Mitt Romney’s Ascendant at 1 degrees of Gemini. However, the eclipse falls on President Obama’s Moon at 3 degrees of Gemini. This is a very fated election!

On June 4, 2012 there will be a Partial Eclipse of the Moon in the morning at 15 degrees of Sagittarius. The Full Moon will have a reddish hue and will be seen eclipsed in the Americas, the Pacific, eastern Asia, Australia and Antarctica. Under a Lunar Eclipse we may be more emotional and things seem to be falling apart in our lives. The general meaning is closure, like putting a period at the end of the sentence.
