Eclipses in 2022

A Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, totally or partially, obscuring the image of the Sun for the viewer on Earth. At a Lunar Eclipse, the shadow of the Earth falls across the face of the Moon, bringing unconscious feelings to the surface. At the time of a Lunar Eclipse our emotions are magnified. We are more able to release emotional attachments that no longer serve us

Avoid major decisions during the week before and after an eclipse. Be very careful during this time and try not to buy major luxury items, sign large contracts or even get a haircut. After an eclipse we may get a new perspective of our lives. Eclipses are game changers and have been noted by both humans and animals over the millennia

The four eclipses in 2022 are on the Scorpio/Taurus Axis. They affect our deep emotions and our dealings with money. The last time we had the Nodes of the Moon in Taurus/Scorpio was in 2004.

 PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE @ 10 DEGREES TAURUS ON 4/30/22

This is a Saros Series 6 North Eclipse. According to Astrologer Bernadette Brady it focuses our relationship with our fathers and authority figures. It reminds us to take responsibility for our commitments. It can be seen in South America, and the Pacific and Atlantic oceans near Antarctica. Events related to this eclipse take place in January and February 2022, 4/16/22, 6/6/22, and July 18-20, 2022. 

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE @ 25 DEGREES SCORPIO ON 5/16/22

This full moon eclipse is also a supermoon and we should receive an extra burst of energy. This is when the Moon is at its closest point to the Earth. It may be seen in Southwest Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Antarctica. It heralds powerful endings and turning points. There seems to be a tug of war between stability and transformation. This is the Flower Moon that happens in the Spring. 

PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE @ 2 DEGREES SCORPIO ON 10/25/22

Under a solar eclipse we are invited to make new beginnings. Often drama comes into our lives and for some of us who have a planet or chart angle aligned with the eclipse, there may be a sudden shift. This is a Saros Series 6 South Eclipse. According to Astrologer Bernadette Brady this eclipse is about being forceful and taking power. There may be disruptive energy effecting sudden events like falling in or out of love. It is visible in Russia, the Middle East, Western Asia and most of Europe. The eclipse is related to events that happened in 1986 and 2004. Events that will happen in February 2023 are related to this eclipse. 

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE AT 15 DEGREES TAURUS ON 11/8/22

Eclipses in general are times of changes, shifts and revelations. There will be many new beginnings at this Full Moon Eclipse called the “Beaver” Moon. It will be seen in Northeast Europe, Asia, parts of Australia and North and South America. Eclipses in Taurus have an influence on money markets in the world. They bring in changes in how we spend and handle our money.
